Stabilize the Shoulders
Surya Namaskar (Sun Salutation) is the root practice for Vinyasa Yoga, preparing for this, is the focus. Diving deep into the shoulder girdle & directly experiencing the relationships of tissues in the most repetitive movements in modern day yoga. This workshop changes everything; it is a crash course in experiencing how to set yourself up for a lifelong sustainable arm balance practice; by understanding how to avoid repetitive use injuries & acquiring tools for healing existing injuries in the shoulder girdle.
(duration: 4 hours)

Healing the Hips
Exploring how to open, stretch, strengthen, stabilize & heal the muscles that make up the pelvis, hip socket & the upper legs. Want to open your hips? Do you have tight hamstrings? Do you have injuries in your legs? Do you feel tension & limited range of movement? Are your hips in pain? This workshop will help you understand your body & empower you with tools to gradually open, balance and heal your hips.
(duration: 4 hours)

Strong Supple Spine
The spine is the innermost core of the body, and is the basis for an optimally functioning body. Our focus in this workshop, is on unlocking the spine's potential to move & support the healthy functions of the body. From the deepest layers of tissues to the most superficial, this is true core work that utilizes backbends; sidebands; twists & forward bends.
(duration: 4 hours)

Foundations for Floating
An immersion into the fundamental muscles, movements & practices that prepare us for creating a sustainable practice, in which "Floating" gradually happens. What is "Floating" in Yoga? Graceful movements that seem to defy the laws of gravity.  This is most associated with advanced practitioners whose movements appear effortless.  This level of practice does not happen over night, that is why we will be laying the foundation for this to become possible over time. Much of this workshop will be focused on integrating core strength with arm balances.
(duration: 4 hours)

Special Classes

Occasionally, I am asked to lead shorter, less in depth practices that interweave similar elements from my workshops.  These are really fun and light classes for exploring more of the moving meditation within an Asana practice; or a great way to focus inward & be still if you're feeling like it's not time to learn a whole lot of new content.  I prefer to do these in communities where I have already shared content from my led workshops; or in new communities in addition to the led workshops; as this can be a great way to integrate the new practices covered in a shorter, more familiar setting of an Asana class.

Mysore
All Levels self practice; moving and breathing at your own pace; this is where the rubber meets the road. In here, there is no right or wrong sequence; complete & total open format; all traditions are welcome. From the super advanced to the total beginner, Bryce will be working individually to help you work through any obstacle in your practice; physical, postural, breath/energy, emotional, spiritual etc; he will be here to help you create a customized practice for your needs. This is as close as it gets to having a private class in a group setting. Within this context Bryce can do postural assessments to help you understand your own rotational pattern in your feet, knees, hips, rib cage, shoulders & spine; and give you a customized therapeutic sequence to create more balance & prevent your pattern from becoming more accentuated.
(duration: 2-4 hours)

Master Class
All Levels in depth practice, interweaving many facets of healing yoga practices. This practice will include Asana, Mudra, Pranayama, Visualizations, Self Massage, Somatics, Muscle Activations, Deep Relaxation & Meditation.
(duration: 2.5 hours)

Vinyasa Flow
All Levels practice, focusing on synchronizing movement with breath to create a moving meditation.  This practice will combine Somatics, Asana & end with Deep Relaxation. This practice will be short & sweet, and will be as challenging as you want it to be.
(duration: 1.5 hours)

Ashtanga Primary Series - Flow
Some experience with Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga is recommended, though not required for this class. There will be modifications to initiate newcomers for the classical Primary Series, and variations for experienced practitioners to elaborate upon this sequence, to better prepare for more advanced sequences. This sequence is mostly about forward bends & hip openers, along with strengthening the nervous system through consistent Ujjayi breathing. This breathing, along with the repetitive vinyasa's, builds a unique level of endurance for the yoga practitioner & a deep state of moving meditation.
(duration: 1.5 hours)

Ashtanga Primary Series - Alignment
All levels are welcome. We will be dissecting this classical sequence of postures & some of the various muscle combinations that can be found within each posture. There is no single correct method for practicing each pose.  Each muscular combination creates it's own experience for the practitioner. Certain combinations will be more therapeutic for the practitioner, depending on their own physical imbalances at that particular time.  It is so beneficial to have more than one tool to approach each posture, because your body will continue to change, along your lifelong journey with yoga.
(duration: 2  hours)

Ashtanga Intermediate Series - Flow
Some experience with Primary Series is required for this practice, as there will be elements that are greatly expanded upon in this practice, that are refined in Primary Series. Intermediate Series focuses on backbends, twists & cultivation of raw strength through standing vinyasa's. This sequence is an excellent daily complementary practice to the Primary Series.  Too much of just Primary or Intermediate sequence often creates imbalance in the body. Even if you have yet to master every pose in Primary Series, this is an excellent sequence to explore, if you've had some experience with Primary.
(duration: 1.5 hours)

Ashtanga Intermediate Series - Alignment
All levels are welcome. We will be dissecting this classical sequence of postures & some of the various muscle combinations that can be found within each posture. There is no single correct method for practicing each pose.  Each muscular combination creates it's own experience for the practitioner. Certain combinations will be more therapeutic for the practitioner, depending on their own physical imbalances at that particular time.  It is so beneficial to have more than one tool to approach each posture, because your body will continue to change, along your lifelong journey with yoga.
(duration: 2 hours)

Yin/Restorative Yoga
All Levels practice. Slow, soft and cooling practice for learning how to relax into the posture & sit with the sensations that arise and dissolve.  This type of practice is not intended for your daily go to practice; this is ideal as a supplemental practice for increasing one's mobility in certain areas of the body. (duration: 1 hour)

Pranayama
Classically, the reason for practicing asana is to remove pain from the body, so we can sit for long periods of time without being distracted by pain. At least that's my understanding. Pranayama is the next limb of Ashtanga Yoga, after Asana, for preparing the practitioner for Meditation.  Pranayama is compared to taming a Lion (the mind), in which even the most wild of beats, will become calm & relaxed with consistent practice. This class will give you the tools to establish a consistent pranayama practice at home, for your own pursuits in creating more peace within.  Consistent pranayama greatly enhances a practitioner's asana practice, along with cleansing the Nadhis, giving you tools to heat & cool the body, along with gaining control of Kundalini Shakti. (duration: 1 hour)

Yoga Nidra
Literally, Sleeping Yoga. In this guided meditation, you are asked to stay awake & alert as you are guided through the 5 Koshas, and you explore the same states you enter during sleep.  Most of us are sleep deprived & will fall asleep every time, at least in the beginning of starting a consistent Yoga Nidra practice.. and that's ok.  Over time, as you become more well rested through this practice, you will have more energy, more calm, a more focused mind & you will be able to remain awake and alert throughout this practice. It is often said that 1 hour of Yoga Nidra is the equivalent to 4 hours of sleep. The most powerful aspect of this practice, is the cultivation & repetition of your own Sankalpa (Affirmation/Intention) while you are in a deeply relaxed & receptive state; which in turn helps you to reroute the direction you are heading in your life, or to affirm & strengthen and already existing healthy pattern in your life. (duration: 1 hour)
